Received: Fall (pumpkin!) beers from Harpoon Brewery / Mass. Bay Brewing

Yesterday I received fall themed beers (and a cider) from Harpoon Brewery / Mass. Bay Brewing—three of which are pumpkin, which I can’t help but admire. Here’s the PR email I got for the beers:

Mass. Bay Brewing Company, the brewers of Harpoon, UFO Beer, and City Roots Cider, have released all your fall favorites, helping you get cozy for the chilly weather to come with brews filled with extra spices to keep us warm, and flavors like pumpkin to get us in the spirit of the season. Fall favorites available now include:

  • Flannel Friday: For those that love fall but aren’t the biggest fan of pumpkin flavoring, this one’s for you. Packed with warm spices and subtle notes of caramel, this beer is Harpoon Brewery’s tribute to fall in New England. Coming in at 5.7% ABV, Flannel Friday pairs well with bright, crisp days and fall foliage watching while wearing your favorite flannel.
  • Harpoon Dunkin’ Pumpkin: Inspired by everyone’s favorite fall pumpkin latte, Harpoon teamed up with Dunkin’ to create this “Spiced Latte Ale” – brewed with real pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, and a splash of coffee. Light in color, easy-drinking, and coming in at 5.2% ABV, it’s a perfect blend of all the autumn flavors we love, with just a touch of espresso-like roast!
  • City Roots Pumpkin: Apple season is a big draw to fall, and when married with pumpkin flavoring – you have a seasonal masterpiece. City Roots Pumpkin Cider combines the best parts of both flavors with some subtle seasonal spice snuck in with cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Filtered bright and crisp at 5.0% ABV, it’s everything we love about fall in a glass, can, or keg.
  • UFO Pumpkin: Real pumpkin, seasonal spices, and fresh-from-the-patch flavor embodies UFO Pumpkin. At 5.9% ABV, this is the beginner’s foray into creative craft beer creations just in time for fall.

This strikes me as autumn seasonal beers done right, but of course I’m always biased towards pumpkin. Watch for a writeup on these sometime soon.
