Lincoln City Launches New Tap and Brew Trail digital passport

A new beer-ticking digital passport has launched for the town of Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast, the Tap and Brew Trail. Created by Explore Lincoln City, this new passport is out in time for National Beer Day (according to the press release), and features nine locations to start, where you can check in on the app.

It joins the ranks of other similar “ale trail” passport programs like the Bend Ale Trail, and highlights the beer scene in Lincoln City, which is home to three breweries as well as a taphouse for Gilgamesh Brewing out of Salem. One omission I noticed right away, however, is that one of the three, Rusty Truck Brewing is not (yet) included on the Trail, although nearby Beachcrest Brewing (in Gleneden Beach just south of Lincoln City) is.

Here’s the press release with more details:

Take this self-guided tour to explore some of the most delightful views and brews in Oregon

Calling all craft beer enthusiasts! Explore Lincoln City is launching a Tap and Brew Trail just in time for National Beer Day on April 7th. This self-guided adventure lets visitors explore Lincoln City’s vibrant brewing scene at their own pace.

Adventurous travelers can hop from brewery to pub, sampling delicious IPAs, stouts, and everything in between. This trail isn’t just about the beer – along the way, travelers will encounter stunning views, like the breathtaking Siletz Bay from a brewery’s outdoor deck. Sunsets simply taste better with a pint in hand.

The Tap and Brew Trail offers something for everyone. Discover hidden gems like the oldest bar on the Oregon Coast, mingle with friendly locals at family-owned breweries and pubs, or savor handcrafted pizzas in a fun tiki atmosphere. One stop even boasts the most extensive selection of Oregon microbrews on draft in Lincoln City.

“We are so excited to share this new passport to guide visitors through the best breweries and pubs that Lincoln City has to offer,” said Kim Cooper Findling, director of Explore Lincoln City. “We hope that visitors find unique local flavors and experiences. You just might happen upon a new favorite spot.”

With “untapped” potential around every corner, Lincoln City’s Tap and Brew Trail promises an unforgettable experience for beer lovers and sightseers alike.

This free Tap and Brew Trail is the latest addition to Explore Lincoln City’s growing collection of digital adventure passports, including the Lincoln City Art Trail and Explorience Passports. The new digital passport allows users to check in with ease and gather points to redeem official Tap and Brew Trail swag, such as a hat or t-shirt. Designated drivers are welcome to check in at each location to redeem for prizes and can explore some of the cutting-edge nonalcoholic selections available at each stop. If you plan on tasting, please drink responsibly. Participants must be 21 or greater.
