Oregon Beer, McMenamins Lighthouse BrewpubHere is the Oregon beer news for Thursday, September 27, getting close to the weekend and the end of the month. McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub (Lincoln City) has its monthly limited-edition beer tasting tonight from 5 to 8pm, featuring Poco El Diablo IPA: “Poco El Diablo IPA is a limited-edition variation of Hop Singular IPA. With the addition of an American Oak spiral soaked in McMenamins 2016 Devils Bit Whiskey, we’ve created a smooth-drinking whiskey-infused IPA that mimics a barrel-aged beer. Light, hoppy and full of whiskey flavor, this IPA is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Cheers!” Coastal, whiskey-oaked IPA—sounds appropriate.

Boneyard Beer (Bend) has a fresh hop IPA releasing today! “FEELS LIKE THE FRESH TIME! This Thursday, we’re releasing Feels Like the Fresh Time, our Fresh Hop IPA at the Pub. Join us at 11AM to taste this Citra hopped up liquid gold. Tasters, pints, growlers & crowlers available.” This is I believe the first Boneyard fresh hop beer in recent memory, so definitely one to try.

Breakside Brewery (Portland) is hosting a “Fresh Hop One Stop” at its NW Portland Slabtown location starting today and lasting through the weekend: “We’ve compiled ALL 10 of our 2018 Fresh Hop beers for your beer drinking enjoyment. Come by Slabtown and let us know which is your favorite…. Beer List:

Brewery 26 (Portland) releases its Crispy Clean IPA today: “Our newest IPA, Crispy Clean is a West Coast style IPA loaded with Citra, Eukanot, Mosaic and Amarillo hops…so yeah it’s pretty good. And non-hazy! Craziness! 7.2% and 68 IBU. Available this Thursday at our Tap Takeover at @beerstoremilwaukie! Be sure to come down for swag giveaways, five beers on tap and unlimited high fives! Thursday from 6-9pm. See you there!!”

Oktoberfest continues at Beergarden in Eugene, with tappings from Andechs & Weltenberger—Andechs Oktoberfest, Weltenberger Pils, and Dinkelacker Hopfenwunder.

Deschutes Brewery (Bend) is holding an additional Community Pints day today at the Bend Pub and the Tasting Room: “All day today $1 from every pint will be donated to our dear friend Colby Nightingale in support of his fight against cancer.”

Portland Brewing is celebrating its GABF win for MacTarnahan’s Amber Ale with a Mac’s GABF happy hour today from 4 to 7pm: “We’re Celebrating MacTarnahan’s Silver Medal at the Great American Beer Festival with a Thursday Happy Hour featuring both MacTarnahan’s NW Amber Ale AND our brand new Fresh Hop Mac’s. Do a two-beer flight and taste the fresh NW Cascade hops side by side. In addition, we’ll have food specials made with MacTarnahan’s to round out your day.”

Royale Brewing (Portland) has two new beers going on tap today: “Party Battery IPA – 6.6% ABV. Aroma includes tropical fruit, orange, and hints of mango coming from the use of Zythos, Mandarina Bavaria, and El Dorado hops. Smooth and very round mouthfeel. Finishes w/ hints of stone fruit and candied mandarin oranges. (1056 American Ale Yeast) 36 IBU.
Kölsch Föllowing (Kolsch-style Ale) – 5.0% ABV. A Kolsch-style ale with a delicate floral/ herbal aroma. Light bodied for easy drinking. Finishes crisp, clean, and slightly spicy with hints of citrus. (1056 American Ale Yeast) 25 IBU.”
