The headline says it all, which I lifted directly from my latest article in The Bulletin—although, these local ciders are great any time of the year. (But particularly refreshing in summer!) I profiled three packaged ciders from three of the four local cideries: Avid Cider, Bend Cider, and Tumalo Cider.

In the cider selections I chose for the article, I was looking for flavors beyond the standard dry cider (though a tasting of all three’s dry ciders would be interesting!). To that end, I chose Avid’s Watermelon Rhubarb, Bend’s Mandarin Juniper, and Tumalo’s Huckleberry Lemon.

All fairly different, all quite interesting, and I’d recommend all of them to anyone cider-curious about what Central Oregon has to offer. Bonus, of course, is that the article also has quotes from each of the owners talking about the ciders. Check it out.
