Homebrew Con kicks off in Portland this Thursday, and of course there are quite a number of ancillary events taking place around town to check out if you need a break from the conference. One of the ones that was passed along to me today is from Lompoc Brewing, its Homebrew Con Special:

Lompoc raises a pint to homebrewers! If you or any of your friends are visiting Homebrew Con this weekend, bring in your Homebrew Con Lanyard (or proof of participation) to either the Lompoc Fifth Quadrant or Sidebar pub between Thursday, June 28 at 11am and Sunday, July 1 at 1pm and receive one free pint with a meal! Don’t miss our weekend brunch at 5Q on June 30th & July 1st from 10am to 1pm!

Both Fifth Quadrant and Sidebar are located about 2 miles away from the Convention Center, on 3901 N. Williams Avenue. You can walk in about 40 minutes, or 20 minutes by bus (make sure to grab the free TriMet pass). 5Q is the main brewery, and Sidebar is the barrel room; it looks to have an interesting tap list this week.
