Oregon Beer News, 06/29/2017

Oregon BeerHappy Thursday! Can you believe it’s the second-to-last day of June already? Which also means the year is half over. While you’re digesting that bit of info, here is the Oregon beer news for June 29. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day, so check back often. And if you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that updated as well.

The Bier Stein (Eugene) is hosting New Holland Brewing for a beer tasting from 5 to 8pm tonight: “From the banks of Lake Michigan, New Holland Brewing’s beer reached our shores just a little while ago– come in to taste Dragon’s Milk, a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout; Dragon’s Milk Reserve, with Mexican spices; and Incorrigible Reserve, a sour ale.”

The BeerMongers (Portland) is welcoming southern California’s Pizza Port to Portland, with a Pizza Port Pizza Party tonight from 6 to 9pm: “Pizza Port is finally coming to Portland. And, of course, Pizza by Ranch. We’ll be pouring… Chronic Amber, Swami’s IPA, Pickleweed Point IPA, and Kook Double IPA.” They will also have cans to go.

Belmont Station welcomes Newport’s Rogue Ales in for a beer tasting event tonight from 5 to 8pm: “Rogue will be on site for a big tasting including: Dead Guy, Honey Kolsch, Hot Tub Scholarship Lager, Marionberry Braggot, Paradise Pucker, Pendleton Pale Ale, and 6-Hop IPA”

Vanguard Brewing (Wilsonville) has a Brewing Showcase And Collaboratiion Beer Release kicking off today and running through Sunday, July 2 at Portland’s Loyal Legion: “Vanguard Brewing and Loyal Legion will be releasing their collaboration beer: Red Don, a flanders red semi sour and made with cherries. We will showcase several other excellent beers from Vanguard, meet the brewer and more.”

10 Barrel Brewing (Bend) is holding a dock sale today and tomorrow on Code 24 Pale Ale at their new facility in northeast Bend: “Today and tomorrow ONLY from 9am-4pm we will have cases of Code 24 for sale at the NEW facility! $10 per case! Buy two get one FREE! Address: 62950 NE 18th Street”

Red Road Pizza Company, a food cart parked at Wild Ride Brewing in Redmond, has a new beer going on tap that is a collaboration with Wild Ride, Spoken Moto (a coffee shop in Bend), and Megaphone Coffee: “Come down tomorrow for a new beer release! A coffee blonde collaboration with Spoken Moto of Bend, and Wild Ride! Grab a Hawaiian Pizza to pair with the new beer!”

Kells Brewery (Portland) has a Summer Beer Release Party today from 6 to 9pm: “Featuring: Wild Rosie: Wild sour raspberry ale, Miley Citrus V.3.0: A Peach and Mango Kolsch, Hull Melon IPA: A dry hopped summer IPA, and Organic Blood Orange: Crisp American Wheat. Sample Trays of all four summer beers for $7 buck-a-roos only on 6/29/17”

Mazama Brewing (Corvallis) is doing a tap takeover at The Civic Taproom in Portland tonight from 6 to 9pm: “Why not start your weekend on a Thursday…or at least act is if you don’t have to go to work Friday?! If you’re with me, then come to The Civic Taproom in Portland and sample new releases, as well as staples, from Mazama Brewing Co. Who knows, you may even walk home (drink responsibly!) with free Mazama schwag & your beers to-go in tow!”

Portland’s Produce Row Cafe is hosting the 3rd Annual Posters & Pints for Pups tonight from 6 to 10pm: “Elysian and Produce Row are excited to host a celebration of beer, the arts, and all things Portland! Join us at Produce Row for the 3rd Annual Elysian & Friends Presents: Posters & Pints for Pups on Thursday, June 29th from 6-10pm. Support your local craft beer scene with a brewery created, one-of-a-kind limited edition Portland Beer themed art prints only available at this event. Additionally, a portion of proceeds from the night will go to Pixie Project, a local Portland non-profit animal adoption and rescue center.”
