Oregon BeerTGIF—perhaps also TGIB (you can figure that one out!). Here’s the Oregon beer news for the weekend of January 22. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day with the latest news, so check back often. McKenzie Brewing of Eugene, better known as the brewpub that it started under, Steelhead Brewing, is celebrating its 25th(!) anniversary this Friday and Saturday! “We’re celebrating for two nights: Friday Jan 22nd & Saturday Jan 23rd from 6:30-9:00. Enjoy live music on Friday from Skip Jones and Paul Biondi and on Saturday from Rob Tobias. Both nights will include a schwag raffle and $2.50 pints of our Anniversary Ale (American pale ale brewed with cherry wood smoked malt). See you there!” BIG congrats to the silver anniversary!

Not down with basement beers? We’ll have a couple of non-cellared brews available as well!” They’ve got a terrific beer list posted, definitely one to check out.

They’ll have nine house-made Winter Warmers, along with four other local winter beers on tap. It’s kid friendly and looks like they’ll have three bands playing as well. Check it out!
