Today marks the first day of the third annual Corvallis Beer Week, which runs from September 9 through 15 this year. The Corvallis beer scene has been exploding these past few years so you know this year’s Beer Week is going to be bigger than ever!
The Week kicks off with a big “block party” styled event headlined by Host Supporter Flat Tail Brewing starting at 7pm; the fun begins over at Les Caves for a “kickoff march” where everyone is “going to march, stroll, meander and really strut, parade-style (but on the sidewalks) from Les Caves Bier & Kitchen to the CBW2013 Kickoff First Street Block Party.” The Block Party takes place on First Street between Flat Tail, Cloud & Kelly’s and Downward Dog, and while they didn’t get to actually close the street it’s going to be a good party:
The Flat Tail crew stepped up big this year as the Corvallis Beer Week 2013 Host Supporter and have decided to throw one helluva party to kick it off in style! The are opening the brewery and serving a ridiculous tapist culled from favors to Dave from some of Oregon’s finest breweries. They be giving tours of their new brewhouse and even releasing some ultra limited and special beers in waxed dipped 40’s…Marliave-style! So…grab your friends and don’t miss out on Flat Tail’s CBW2013 Kickoff Party!
They have many more events running throughout the week that promise to make this year a great Week (and it will only get better in years to come!). I’ll be highlighting the various events throughout the week in my Beer News posts, and you’re definitely going to want to get over to Corvallis this week to partake in the fun!
