Last week was all about beer samples, it seems, as I received two more in addition to the three others I posted about. North Coast Brewing sent along its Tart Cherry Berliner Weisse, and Monkless Belgian Ales gave me a can of its new Curtain Closer.

The Tart Cherry has a nice red hue to it and interesting is packaged in clear glass, probably to highlight this. It’s 4.1% ABV with 0 (zero) IBUs, it seems. The Curtain Closer is the other end of the spectrum, being a 12% ABV “quintuple” with chocolate and raspberry. For anyone cringing at the style designation, Monkless knows full well that “quintuple” isn’t an actual style but is having fun with it.
