Cans of Harpoon Brewery’s first non-alcoholic beer arrived this week, its Open League Non-Alcoholic Hazy IPA, the release for which I posted about here. It’s in the lifestyle “League” series of brews, typified by low-alcohol, low-calorie beers created with buckwheat, chia seeds, and sea salt.

No details on how it’s processed to be non-alcoholic, though with a quarter of the calories of the 4% ABV Rec. League, I do have to wonder if it’s just a low-gravity brew that gets diluted with water to below 0.5% ABV rather than running it through a de-alcoholization process.
