Right before leaving for Homebrew Con last week, a bottle of The Ages, one of the latest beers in the Reserve Series from Deschutes Brewery, arrived on the doorstep. It’s in the new 500ml bottle format that the brewery is rolling out for new limited editions in the Reserve Series—I don’t know if all of them will be 500ml bottles, but this one, and Black Butte³ are, and I believe Wasp’s Nest was as well.

The Ages a blend of three different ages of barrel aged beers, gueuze-style, and I have some interesting interview details I’ll post about it at some point, from my interview with Gary Fish and Veronica Vega that I did for my recent article in the local paper.

What I can tell you know is, this is a pretty amazing beer (I had already bought a bottle and split it with friends), well worth picking up if you find it.
