Received: 10 Barrel Rose Bois and Pearl IPA

Last week I met and had a beer with Lindsay Wiley, a communications manager with AB-InBev’s High End division who is based out of 10 Barrel Brewing here in Bend. Nothing earth-shaking to report, other than 10 Barrel is now canning Pearl IPA as a standalone package—i.e., not as part of an IPA mix-pack. And, the latest Rose Bois Grand Cru is out (the raspberry barrel-aged Belgian-style sour ale), in 500ml bottles.

Of which I walked away with both, a bottle of Rose Bois, and a case of Pearl IPA. The Pearl is particularly fresh, just canned on September 24. Also, even though it’s a Portland Pub recipe (brewer Whitney Burnside’s first recipe she brewed when starting there), I assume this packaged version is being brewed in Bend. It would be interesting to do a side-by-side of two brews if that’s the case.
