Oregon Beer, Ecliptic BrewingHappy hump day! We are working our way through the week and if you’re a Trail Blazers fan then you just saw an amazing game last night (and probably consumed a good amount of beer in the process). Cheers to Rip City! And here’s today’s Oregon beer news to catch up on the happenings of this mid-week. As usual I’ll be updating throughout the day so check back often.

The next anniversary release from Ecliptic Brewing in its “5 Beers/5 Years” series is Hazy Double IPA, a Cosmic Collaboration with Matt Brynildson of Firestone Walker Brewing. Tonight the brewery is hosting a Cosmic Beer Dinner with John Harris and Brynildson which looks fantastic: “In celebration of their Cosmic Collaboration Hazy Double IPA, join Ecliptic Brewing Brewmaster, John Harris, and Firestone Walker Brewing Brewmaster, Matt Brynildson, for a Cosmic Beer Dinner! The dinner will feature a menu from Ecliptic Brewing Chef Michael Molitor, each paired with delicious beers from the breweries. The ticket price includes 5 courses, 9-5oz beers, gratuity, and a 500ml bottle to-go of the Cosmic Collaboration signed by the brewmasters!” Cost is $65 and you can purchase tickets online here.

Oakshire Brewing (Eugene) hosts its Oakshire Inspires fundraiser today, raising money for Cascades Raptor Center at the Public House: “Come enjoy delicious beer and help out your bird friends! Oakshire Public House will donate $1 per pint – all day – to Cascades Raptor Center! The Raptor Center will have staff present from 5-7 pm and would love to chat with you about all things raptor!”

Also in Eugene today, The Bier Stein is hosting the Yachats Brewing Pairing Dinner I posted about a few weeks ago. It’s marked as “sold out” today so if you got tickets already you’re good, otherwise if you really, really want tickets you could always try calling the Stein to see if there are any last-minute openings.

The Ale Apothecary (Bend) is hosting a Locals Night fundraiser tonight from 4 to 8pm: “Tonight! Our 2nd #localsnight is raising money for Amity Creek School with draft pours of UNVSL farmhouse and bottle sales of Sahalie. @thepeoplespies will be on hand with tasty pasties and we’ll be ready to welcome our community into our space. 4-8pm!”

Spider City Brewing (Bend) has a new beer out today: “Our French Saison taps today! This beer is light, crisp, refreshing and coming in at 5.5% and 30 IBU. It has a subtle biscuit malt character with hints of clove, honey and pear. Come down and have a pint! We’ll be here from 2-8pm today!”

Rogue Ales (Newport) has a new canned brut IPA going out: “Inspired by typos, we’re releasing Rogue Rouge, a brut IPA blended with Pinot Noir juice. It was canned yesterday and it’s on its way to Rogue Public Houses now. It’ll hit taps and shelves nationwide in June.”
