Latest print article: Irish Stout, of course!
My latest print article in my local Bend Bulletin hit today: Forget green beer — drink Irish stout. Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, of course!
I delve into the history of the style, with the obligatory Guinness mention, and touch base with a couple of local brewers: Mike White at McMenamins Old St. Francis School, and Zach Hoyopatubbi at Worthy Brewing. Each has an Irish-style stout for the holiday, and I know there are at least two more local examples as well: Deschutes Brewery has a nitro Irish Stout on tap, and Three Creeks has Paddy O’Shea’s Leprechaun Stout.
