Crux Fermentation Project Hop Pickin' Party banner

Fresh hop beer details from Crux Fermentation Project, including info on its Hop Pickin’ Party coming up on September 12 to pick the hops on the property for Off the Fence Fresh Hop Pale Ale. The brewery’s Pert Near Fresh Hop IPA is on tap now, and the others are not far away.

Details from the email news:

The Fresh Hops are here, and to celebrate this momentous and aromatic time of year, we are releasing four fresh hop IPAs:

Pert Near Fresh Hop IPA – JUST RELEASED – with McKenzie hops. Find it in 16oz cans and on tap in our tasting room and be on the lookout; it will appear in markets soon!

Crosby Strata Fresh Hop IPA – featuring, that’s right, you guessed it, the Strata hop. But not just any Strata hop, the new and experimental CGX™ Fresh Hop Lupulin, which packs BIG HOP taste and aroma. It is not for the hop faint of heart.

New Favorite Fresh Hop Hazy IPA – with #1019 hops. We’re brewing it fresh and delish this week. Look for it on draft and in cans in a couple of weeks.

Off the Fence Fresh Hop NW Pale Ale – featuring Cascade hops that we pluck right from our very own fence, which brings us to our next order of business…

Join us at 8-10 am on Monday, Sept 12th, as we pick our estate Cascade hops off the fence.

It’s a hop-pickin’ party, and we want you there! We will serve coffee, donuts, and good times.

A longer description of the party from the Facebook event page:

Join us for our annual hop picking event. We grow Cascade hops right on our fence, and we need your help to get them off and straight into our kettle for our appropriately named, Off the Fence Fresh Hop NW Pale Ale.
We will serve donuts and coffee and good times.
Join in the fun!

Make a note of the time on that, if you’re planning to join—8:00 a.m. bright and early!
