Deschutes Brewery 30th anniversary Boneyard collaborationAs part of its 30th anniversary this year, Bend, Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery reached out to past brewers to collaborate on seven new beers. I’m highlighting each of these beers in a blog post each day leading up to the brewery’s anniversary on June 27.

Wolfgang’s Vintage Vienna Lager

Description: 30th Anniversary Collaboration with Boneyard Brewery (draught only). This hoppy Vienna Lager has been named after Wolfgang, the legendary dog of Tony Lawrence, owner of Boneyard Brewery, who was often found relaxing on the brewdeck while Lawrence brewed during his days at Deschutes. Lawrence spent the day with Deschutes’ Assistant Brewmaster, Robin Johnson, at the Bend pub brewing this delightful hoppy Vienna Lager.

Beer Geek Information: 6% ABV | 25 IBUs
When: June release
Where: Available draught only in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Northern California and

Indeed, Tony Lawrence, the man behind such Boneyard beers as RPM IPA, Hop Venom Double IPA, Suge Knite Imperial Stout, Notorious Triple IPA, and so on, opted to brew a Vienna Lager for an anniversary beer. This will be a beer to seek out for sure.

Brewer Quotes

Tony Lawrence, Boneyard Brewery

“Getting the invitation to take part in the 30-year anniversary collaboration project is a great honor. The
all-star list of brewers is amazing. All of my brewing mentors and buddy’s back after all these years is
simply CRAZY! GOOD TIMES and where I grew up brewing. Thank you, Deschutes, for giving me a
chance.”

All of these anniversary collaboration beers will be on tap at the Brewery’s Party in the Park on Saturday, July 30.
