Central Oregon breweries opening (or not) under COVID-19 Phase 1 re-opening plan

Friday, May 15, is the first day of Phase One of Oregon governor Kate Brown’s re-opening plan, in which 31 Oregon counties can start easing COVID-19 restrictions. Among the businesses that can start easing restrictions are restaurants, breweries, bars, tasting rooms, and distilleries, under the following guidelines:

Limit the occupancy to maintain physical distancing requirements.
Tables must be spaced 6 feet apart, including when customers approach and leave tables.
Limit parties to 10 people or fewer.
All employees must wear masks.
Prohibit any self-service operations like salad bars, soda machines, etc.
Encourage customers to wear face coverings (not required).

Central Oregon’s three counties—Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson—are among those re-opening, and understandably, many Central Oregon breweries are eager to re-open. Not all of them will be doing so on the 15th, and some will remain closed for take-out/delivery only. Here’s the list of what each local brewery and cidery is planning for Phase One re-opening. I will update this post accordingly. Update: I’m including distilleries as well, at the bottom.

10 Barrel Brewing

Re-opening date: Monday, 5/18; details
Bend West Pub:
- Will operate at 35% of capacity 11am-10pm daily, please call ahead to be added to our waitlist to minimize entry crowds and potentially waiting for a table.
- Pick up orders will be available 11:00am-10:00pm daily
- Delivery orders available 11:00am-8:00pm daily
Bend East Pub:
- Will operate at 50% of capacity 11am-10pm daily, please call ahead to be added to our waitlist to minimize entry crowds and potentially waiting for a table.

Avid Cider

Bend Brewing

The beer garden will not be a free for all like before. You must be seated BY THE HOST at one of the picnic tables. Once seated please do not get up to roam, or let kids run around. If you cannot comply with this, we will kindly ask you to leave.
We will all be wearing masks and while not required we ask that you do too! – The host stand is now located under a large BBC tent in the parking lot (in front of the fire pit). Please check in there whether you are just drinking or want a meal.
One at a time in the bathroom.
Hours are 11:30-9:00.

Bevel Craft Brewing

Re-opening date: Friday, 5/15
Hours: 3–7pm through the weekend
Starting Monday, 5/18, hours will be 1–7pm daily.
Pickup and delivery services continuing.

Boneyard Beer

Re-opening date: Thursday, 5/21; details
Hours will be noon–8pm daily

All tables MUST check-in at our host stand located outside to be seated. (No open seating during phase 1)

Boss Rambler Beer Club

Bridge 99 Brewery

Re-opening date: Friday, 5/15
Phase One hours: Monday–Saturday, 3–7pm until further notice.
Limited seating, and there will not be popcorn.

Cascade Lakes Brewing

Masks strongly recommended for customers – to ensure the safety of our community and employees, we are strongly recommending masks be worn by our customers when inside the building except when seated at tables.
Reservations are encouraged and we have mobile text notifications to minimize waits and crowds at the front entrance.
