Advent Beer Calendar 2019: Day 21: North Cotswold Winter Solstice

North Cotswold Winter Solstice (from Facebook)

Today is the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year! To celebrate I’ve picked an appropriate beer from the North Cotswold Brewery in English, its seasonal Winter Solstice. As befitting an English ale, Winter Solstice is 4.5% alcohol by volume, and the brewery describes it as, “A deep ruby easy drinking winter warmer brewed with American hops and Belgian yeast.”

North Cotswold was established in 1999 and focuses on brewing traditional fine ales. Most importantly this includes cask ales, and a taste of Winter Solstice from the cask on the winter solstice would be sublime. And just the thing to help ease you through the longest night of the year. Cheers!
