Of this Lager, they say:
This lager has a deep amber color and orange highlights that promise a delicious drinking experience. Brewed with noble hops prized for their subtle, spicy character, this brew has a deep amber color and crisp finish. As with any of Alexander Keith’s products, we take great pride in putting the best ingredients in our Nova Scotia Style Lager.
It’s 5.4% alcohol by volume.
Appearance: Honey-gold color, very clear; head was thin and fell quickly.
Smell: Caramel nose with a touch of toffee, nicely malty—makes me think of a Marzen. Very light floral hops.
Taste: Malty on the tongue, thin with a bit of bite from carbonation. Nice bit of honey sweetness and a grassy (hop) presence. Clean.
Mouthfeel: Light, a bit thin, perky carbonation; a bit of a sweet aftertaste, otherwise clean finish.
Overall: Nice drinkable lager; too thin to be the Marzen-like that you smell, but crisp. Probably not going to be a crowd favorite but competently brewed.
