Worthy Brewing soft opening

Today was the official soft (“quiet”) opening for Bend’s new Worthy Brewing, one of the area’s most highly anticipated new Bend brewery openings based in no small part on the sheer size and ambition of the project. Naturally, given that I’ve been following the progress of Worthy fairly closely since … Continue reading

Go Time (Worthy Brewing)

“Go Time” in this case refers to “Go Time Xtra Pale Ale,” the very first beer brewed by Bend’s Worthy Brewing which hit the taps at a few select places this past Friday. So, Friday after work we headed over to the Broken Top Bottle Shop to grab some dinner … Continue reading

Worthy Brewing: First look, first brew

Today was a big day for Bend’s newest brewery, Worthy Brewing Company: Brewmaster Chad Kennedy and Head Brewer Dustin Kellner officially brewed up their first batch of beer on the new 30bbl system! The beer is a standard American Pale Ale (dubbed “Eastside Pale” I believe) intended to test and … Continue reading

Last month, prior to the official Worthy Brewing groundbreaking, I posted a couple of pictures of the land the new brewery and beer garden (and more) would be inhabiting. I thought it might be interesting to post occasional pictures of the construction progress, so a few days ago I went … Continue reading

Worthy Brewing groundbreaking ceremony

Yesterday (Friday the 24th of February) was a perfect day for the official groundbreaking ceremony for one of Bend’s newest brewery ventures, Worthy Brewing Company—nearly 60 degrees, clear and sunny (contrasted with this morning as I write this, it’s snowing somewhat heavily). Principals Chad Kennedy and Roger Worthington had arranged … Continue reading

Worthy Brewing groundbreaking

This Friday, February 24th, is the official groundbreaking ceremony for Worthy Brewing, one of Bend’s newest breweries-in-development fronted by ex-Laurelwood Brewmaster Chad Kennedy (Facebook announcement). The ceremony takes place at 3pm and (I believe) both Kennedy and partner Roger Worthington (of Indie Hops) will be on-hand. Before then, though, I … Continue reading

Worthy Brewing logo revealed

Chad Kennedy, brewmaster of Bend’s upcoming Worthy Brewing, revealed the new brewery’s logo on Twitter (and Facebook) the other day: I like it, it’s a strong, clean design with detail but not too much detail. In addition, there is also a new Facebook page for the brewery here.
