Portland Fruit Beer Fest once again brings fruit to the forefront

It’s hard to believe this weekend’s Portland Fruit Beer Fest is only in its fifth iteration; this festival, billed as the “world’s first dedicated fruit beer festival” has become both the signature event of Portland Beer Week and one of the absolute-must beer events in a city already overflowing with them. Portland Fruit Beer Festival (2012)

This weekend is the second annual Portland Fruit Beer Festival taking place, of course, in Portland, this year rolled into the overall Portland Beer Week festivities (though still a killer standalone event). It’s taking place this Saturday and Sunday, the 9th and 10th, outside of Burnside Brewing again though this year they’ve been able to close 7th Avenue to provide a larger venue.
