7th Annual Sisters Fresh Hop Festival – Saturday, Oct. 1

One of my favorite local beer festivals is taking place this Saturday, October 1: the Sisters Fresh Hop Festival! This year is the seventh annual event, taking place at Village Green Park from noon to 8pm, and the price is still right: $5 for the glass, and $1 for a four-ounce taste. Tuesday Tastings: Harvest Season

For this week’s Tuesday Tastings I’m going very seasonal, with a selection of harvest beers appropriate for the autumn. Gilgamesh Brewing Fresh Prince of Ales Gilgamesh Brewing out of Salem, Oregon, brews a number of unusual ales (including Mamba—not hopped but steeped instead with black tea, which is not my favorite) and has several with punny names.
