I was out for the better part of a week during the Labor Day weekend (still catching up!) and while gone two beery packages arrived.

The first was a bottle of Deschutes Brewery’s anniversary beer, Black Butte XXVII, one that has been out on draft since June but only recently bottled.

The other was a special edition of the 33 Beers tasting booklet developed just for this month: the Lunar Eclipse edition (black ink on black ink cover, black staples… and barrel aged):
