A couple of beers came my way this week from local breweries: Boneyard Beer and Crux Fermentation Project. First, Boneyard:

First thought about this is—Boneyard brewed a Dunkelweizen? Yes, they did, and I’m working on a story about it for the Bulletin, so the brewery provided me with a crowler. And yes, I drank it the same night I brought it home so I could take my notes for the story. It’s a nice beer and one you should be checking out.

And Crux:

They are holding the release party for this beer, Coco(a) Stout, on Thursday the 11th and it sounds like a dessert on steroids, with chocolate malt, cocoa powder, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and toasted coconut. I’ll be drinking this one soon indeed.
