Just before going out of town last week (on a vacation/anniversary trip to Las Vegas, a post about which will be appearing soon), I received a bottle of Deschutes Brewery‘s anniversary beer, Black Butte XXV.

This is their Imperial Black Butte Porter, their special anniversary brew since XX, and this year’s version is “tart”—that is, aged on black currants (and brewed with dates, figs, and chocolate). I had a taste of it at Deschutes’ party in the park last weekend and it is a tasty, tasty brew. I’m looking forward to cracking this bottle.
