Press Release: Redhook Ale Brewery Brings Back Blonde

Returns Ale in Response to Consumer Demand

In response to consumer demand, Redhook Ale Brewery (NASDAQ: HOOK) is bringing back Redhook Blonde. The golden ale, which was taken out of production in early 2009, returned to draught in the Western U.S. in April, and hits grocery store shelves in 12 ounce bottles and on draught nationwide this month. Redhook Blonde sports a bold new look, yet is made using the same great recipe that built its reputation.

“Redhook Blonde is a smooth, flavorful beer,” said Greg Deuhs, Redhook brewmaster. “It has a soft malt character and medium hop profile, making it a very good session beer. Redhook Blonde is a perfect beer to have while spending an afternoon outdoors at a picnic or on a rainy day at the pub for happy hour.”

Redhook Blonde combines the best attributes of a flavorful golden ale with the refreshing qualities of a lager. The ale is brewed with three different malts and two hop varietals. Additionally, lightly roasted barley and a touch of wheat give Redhook Blonde a flavor profile anticipated to appeal to a wide range of beer drinkers.

Redhook Blonde pairs well with medium flavored foods such as fish, nachos or salad. It has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 5.3 percent and 24 international bittering units (IBUs). The golden ale will retail for approximately $7.99 – $8.99 per six-pack.
