Press Release: Bask In The Sun With A Beautiful Blonde … Ale

Michelob Brewing Co.’s seasonal Beach Bum Blonde Ale is crafted specially for summer

Beach Bum Blonde Ale draws its deep golden color from a selection of pale and caramel barley malt and is brewed with imported Alsace and Hallertau hops, and Cascade and Willamette hops from the Pacific Northwest. Brewmasters use a dry-hopping technique, adding hops not only to the brewkettle, but also to the aging tank, to give the beer its distinct and pronounced floral and citrus hop aromas.

From May through September, adults nationwide can enjoy the summer seasonal on draught at their favorite bars and restaurants, or by picking up a six-pack at grocery and convenience stores.

“Beach Bum Blonde Ale is more than a seasonal beer – it has become an annual signal at the brewery that summer is finally here,” said Kristi Zantop, Michelob Brewing Co. brewmaster. “Beach Bum’s golden color, malty sweetness and slightly spicy hop aromas are the perfect complement to a summertime afternoon.”

Fresh salads, seafood with splash of lemon and spicy chicken Parmesan each pair nicely with the summer ale by enhancing and balancing the flavor of the foods and beer. Kristi also suggests trying Beach Bum Blonde Ale with the sharp flavor of Chevre cheese, which accents the beer’s subtle malt flavors and pronounced hop profile.

Beach Bum Blonde Ale is part of Michelob Brewing Co.’s series of seasonal offerings, which includes Jack’s Pumpkin Spice Ale, Winter’s Bourbon Cask Ale and Hop Hound Amber Wheat.
