If I lived in Portland, I would totally go to these

Two beer events are taking place in Portland this weekend that sound like “must visits” for the beer lover.

  • The Beer, Brats & Music Fest at Raccoon Lodge/Cascade Brewing. Live music, no cover charge, and some beers you’re not going to find anywhere else (guaranteed): Honey Moon, a honey-sweetened barrel-conditioned beer brewed in collaboration with the PDX Homebrewers Club; and Gose Summer Wheat, one of the very few commercially-brewed Gose beers I’ve heard of in the U.S. Saturday, July 11th, from 3 until 9:30pm at the Raccoon Lodge.
  • Sunday the 12th at the Horse Brass Pub, is the “159th Birthday Bash” for “Horse Brass Publican Don Younger, Point Blank Distributing owner Scott Willis and Beer O’Clock radio show host, Lisa Morrison (aka The Beer Goddess)”. They all share a birthday on July 11th, so decided to have their birthday beer bash at the Horse Brass on the 12th with a fundraiser for the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation. The party starts at 5pm, and is at the Horse Brass—what more do you need to know?

  1. Hey,

The Portland Beer festival is at the end of July .. I believe the 24-26 and that is pretty good. It’s held downtown on the Willamette river.

And the Portland international beer fest is probably good too. I went to the one in Seattle on July 3 and it was great. Great draft beers for 1 coupon/ $1 tastes and GLASS tasting cups .. !!! .. and a happy hour with 50% more tickets !

I initially did not like this fest ’cause it was mostly bottles and you had to spend 2-4 tickets ($4 !) for a taste !!! .. but they have gotten better over the years and added some awesome draft beers for $ 1

OK .. wanted to comment on your Industrial light lagers post, but your comments are closed.

    Cheers !
