I noted yesterday that Portland’s new PINTS Brewing is going to be having a tasting at the Platypus Pub on Bend this Friday, with head brewer Zach Beckwith on hand to talk about the beers. The tasting/meet the brewer will run from 6 to 8pm on the 15th, and the following beers will be pouring:

• Tavern Ale, their flagship (5.1% abv)
• Next Generation Strong Ale (7.8% abv)
• Green Line Organic Summer IPA, their summer seasonal, a “sessionable ipa packed with amarillo and cascade hops”

This is the first time PINTS will be available in Central Oregon, so be sure to check them out Friday.
