Oregon Beer News, 12/15/2015

Belmont Station (Portland): They are welcoming Merchant du Vin for their “Annual Holiday Bazoodily Bop & Meet the Monks” from 5 to 8pm today: “Our annual holiday extravaganza featuring Merchant du Vin’s incredible imports this year focuses on their “monk” beers: Trappist beers Orval, Rochefort 8, Westmalle Dubbel and Westmalle Tripel. Plus, we will be featuring a sandwich samples from our new on-site food cart, Monk’s Deli.” Additional details on the event page.

The Bier Stein (Eugene) has their community night this evening starting at 5pm: “‘Tis the season for The Nutcracker ballet! We’re pouring through a keg of Claim 52’s Sugar Plum Fairy and donating proceeds to support the Eugene Ballet Academy, so come join the festivities!”

Bailey’s Taproom (Portland) tonight at their Upper Lip at 6pm they are welcoming Almanac Brewing for a tap takeover and cheese and charcuterie pairing: “Join The Upper Lip on Tuesday, December 15th at 6:00 pm for an evening of beer, cheese and charcuterie pairing. Six offerings from Cheese Bar and San Francisco’s Almanac Beer Company will be paired. Six pours of Almanac Beer will be offered and discussed by Almanac Sales Manager Ryane Mooney. Cheese and meat pairing details from Steve Jones of Cheese Bar will also be available.”

Monkless Belgian Ales (Bend): Tonight at Bend’s White Water Taphouse for a release party of a new, limited holiday ale: “Come celebrate the holidays with us at White Water Taphouse on Tuesday, December 15th at 6:30pm for a special treat. A special, limited edition tasting. We’ll be introducing a classic Belgian Quad fermented on cherries. A 9.8% ABV creation we call Pour Pour Pitiful Me. We’ll have some Monkless holiday swag for sale and lots of holiday cheer!”

Cascade Brewing (Portland): Tonight’s Tap It Tuesday at the Barrel House at 6pm is featuring “Live” 2013 Bourbonic Plague: “This rarely released project features spiced double Porters aged in bourbon barrels for up to two years with dates, vanilla beans and cinnamon. Decadent flavors of bourbon, roasted malts, dried dark fruits, vanilla and spice are what makes the Bourbonic Plague project a GABF gold medal winner. 13% ABV.” Big!
