Brewpublic celebrates 10 years and Killer Beer Weekend starts today at Roscoe’s with the Kick Off Party starting at 4pm! “We kick off our Killer Beer Weekend at Roscoe’s on Thursday, October 18th. This year marks our 10th year of bringing the best beer news in all of the Pacific Northwest. We are happy to celebrate this milestone at Roscoe’s with some Killer Beers to kick off our three-day celebration! The tap list will include offerings from Alesong Brewing. Firestone Walker, GoodLife Brewing, Aslan Brewing, Fremont Brewing, Great Notion. Loowit Brewing, Fort George. Boss Rambler Beer Club. Boneyard. Machine House and more!”

And just a big congratulations to Brewpublic and the folks behind it for a decade of solid news and reporting!

Imperial Bottle Shop on Alberta in Portland is hosting Fort George Brewery for an Experimental Farmhouse Tasting tonight from 6 to 8pm: “Try 4 new experimental saisons from Fort George Brewery, including:
– Hammock District: Saison & Reilsing blend
– Dragon Bone: Ginger & honey barrel-aged saison
– Strange Aeons: Black cherry & fig black saison
– Vortex Saison: Vortex mash aged in wine barrels with saison yeast, and then dry-hopped”

And today’s the day that Eugene’s Freehand Brewing debuts at The Bier Stein with the official release party from 5 to 8pm: “Come down to The Bier Stein, meet the owner and try the first beer release from Eugene’s newest brewery! We’ll be pouring free samples of our first three beers, Melee, Forte, and Staves. We’ve also worked with the Stein on a limited single-cheese pairing plate that we hope you will enjoy with a flight of all three beers. As we are bottle-only right now, bottles will be available for purchase to enjoy in-house or take home.”

The Elysian Brewing Great Pumpkin Roadshow lands at the Platypus Pub in Bend tonight! “Once more, The Elysian Brewing Great Pumpkin Roadshow returns to The Platy Pub with all of their great pumpkin beers available on tap. And just like in years past, get ready for the giant Pumpkin Firkin! Something wicked this way comes! Join Elysian Brewing as it stops for the annual Pumpkin Roadshow of the season and ONLY one to arrive in Central Oregon/Bend area. EIGHT of its pumpkin beers, a pumpkin tapping ceremony, brewery reps, brewers, speciality pumpkin beers only found at the event, and more!” The party takes place from 6 to 8pm.

Belmont Station (Portland) is welcoming Yakima Craft Brewing for a tasting today starting at 5pm: “Straight outta the hop fields comes Yakima Craft! Come taste samples from these cans: Pilsnerd Pils, Wizard IPA, Red Hazy Sky IPA, and Juicd’DDD Triple IPA”

Portland’s Civic Taproom is hosting an event called Taps & Terps tonight from 5 to 9pm: “The Civic Taproom has teamed up with Oregon’s Finest, Xylem Ciderworks and Coalition Brewing to bring you TAPS & TERPS!! Join us Thursday, October 18th from 5pm-9pm at the Civic Taproom & Bottleshop where Xylem Ciderworks and Coalition Brewing will be taking over the taps to bring you their cannabis collabs! There will be music, games, raffles and a cannabis Sip and Smell pairing!” Sounds like a pretty “Oregon” type of night.

McMenamins 23rd Avenue Bottle Shop (Portland) is hosting the release of Off the Vine Brut IPA tonight from 6 to 8pm: “Join us for the release of the Off the Vine Brut IPA, a collaboration between McMenamins Edgefield Brewery, Culmination Brewing and the Edgefield Winery. We will also be pouring Culmination’s Sour Flower, and the Over & Under One Fresh Hop IPA collaboration between Allegory, Culmination, Prickly Moses, Revel, Crosby Hop Farm, and HopCo.”

Ochoco Brewing (Prineville) is brewing up pumpkin beer! “Picked up some delicious Cinderella and Sugar Pie pumpkins from Prineville Lavender Farm! Rubbed with Pumpkin Pie Spice and Smoked on the Traeger Grill! Results on tap soon.” Yay!

Gilgamesh Brewing (Salem) is raising money tonight with beer: “The Cherry Terry — Terry Porter floated atop cherry Anthem Cider. We will be donating two dollars from each Cherry Terry and Terry Porter ordered tonight to non Hodgkin Lymphoma research. Come watch the game this evening and celebrate the life and legacy of Paul Allen. He will be greatly missed in Oregon.”

Golden Valley Brewery (McMinnville) has barrel-aged goodness in the house: “‘Tis the season—-Pinot Barrel Aged OLD RELIC on tap now in McMinnville & Beaverton locations. The advantages of brewing beer in Willamette Valley Wine Country!” Old Relic is a Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy so a great candidate for a wine barrel.

Three Mugs Brewing (Hillsboro) is releasing a brut IPA today: “Come out today for the release of the world’s first Red Brut Imperial IPA: “Brut We Got So Close!” Everyone said a Red Brut IPA couldn’t be done! Well, that was partially true, brut we got so close! Finishing off just shy of the dry Bruts we love and enjoy. This brew is crisp, clean, slightly malty and packed full of hops! We loaded this beer with as much Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin that we could throw at it. So try one or ten!”

3 Sheets Brewery (Albany) is celebrating its first anniversary starting today: “It’s our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY and we are celebrating with an OKTOBERFEST all weekend long! October 18, 19, & 20! We will be open our normal hours. Because we love all of you guys and appreciate all the support you’ve shown us, we want to thank you by giving you FREE SWAG! Who doesn’t like free stuff?! All weekend long we will be giving you a ticket with each beer for raffle drawings (you could win something you see in our awesome display window, so check it out when you come in)… and we will do a drawing every few hours!”
