On this day in 1987, according to Jay Brooks, Full Sail Brewing in Hood River opened their doors—making this the 30th anniversary of the brewery! Cheers to one of Oregon’s oldest breweries! McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse (Hillsboro) has a fresh hop packed Roadhouse Refreshments tasting tonight, with three beers on tap: Thundercone, the company-wide pale ale brewed with Cascade hops; Ben’s Fresh Hop Ale, a sessionable pale ale brewed with Nugget and Cascade; and Mosaic Fresh Hop IPA, featuring 40 pounds of fresh Mosaic hops. It goes from 6 to 9pm.
Saraveza (Portland) is hosting a Goschie Farms fresh hop night tonight from 5 to 9pm: “On Wed. Sept., 27th from 5-9 PM Saraveza is excited to bring you a unique Fresh Hop event featuring hops from our friends at Goschie Farms in Silverton, OR. We’ve hunted down some of the freshest beers from some of our favorite breweries that have utilized Goschie’s bountiful hops including:

Deschutes Brewery (Bend): The Dissident 2017 is released today at the Bend Pub! They are celebrating the return of their Oud Bruin Flanders-style brown ale all day with food specials and bottles available for sale (for $18 each) all day. Look for a vintage sample tray as well. If you’re a fan of this barrel aged sour ale, be sure to head to the pub today!
Culmination Brewing (Portland) has Fresh Hop Phaedrus going on tap today: “Wednesday, 9/27, our taproom will be offering a special version of our flagship Phaedrus IPA. What makes this Phaedrus different from normal Phaedrus is that we used El Dorado fresh hops in this batch. Come by and get your taste!”
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) in Portland is hosting their OMSI After Dark Brewfest tonight, starting at 6pm: “Don’t just drink beer, learn beer! Sample beers from local breweries, and learn something while you’re at it! Shoot off water rockets, concoct chemical creations, and explore the wonders of OMSI with no kids in sight! Enjoy a glass of wine while learning about robots, tornados, or fossils. Talk to a brewer about the science behind beer, or sample products from local artisans. All that and more with OMSI After Dark, a night at the museum for the 21-and-over crowd filled with food, drink, and science fun! 21+ Only | ID’s Required”
Rogue Ales Eastside Pub has their latest Green Dragon Brew Crew release tonight beginning at 5pm, featuring Medusa Blonde Ale: “Don’t be afraid to drink some Medusa! Medusa Blonde Ale, made with Medusa hops, unites exotic guava and melon with juicy autumnal apricots flavors. The pale malt and oatmeal support the tropical hop flavors and provides a crisp finish.”
Crux Fermentation Project (Bend): Their next canned and draft fresh hop beer, Way Two Fresh, is released today. “To craft this fresh hop tour de force, we’ve simultaneously harvested fresh hops from two valleys in two states on the same morning, combining them into a single kettle that very afternoon… dream big, right? Fully hop-forward with rich tropical qualities, this flavorful blend of fresh Willamette Valley Mosaic and Yakima Valley Simcoe hops is an Imperial IPA that’s double the trouble and downright delicious. 9.9% ABV”
Natian Brewing (Portland) has fresh hop beers releasing today: “FRESH HOP RELEASES!! 2 Fresh Hop beers this year. “Not Your Everyday” FH IPA and a new one, a fresh hop version of the “Handful” IRA. Both will be released at our taproom Wednesday 9/27 when we open at 2pm. 1306 E Burnside – come and enjoy the harvest with some short lived seasonals while you can!”
Corvallis’ Mazama Brewing is hosting their Pints for Paws fundraiser today, benefiting the SaveHaven Humane Society: “Our September venue for Pints for Paws will be Mazama Brewing in Corvallis! They are generously donating $1 from every pint purchased on Wednesday, September 27th between 3-8 p.m.” Get down there and enjoy a pint or three to help them out!
In Eugene, Beergarden’s Oktoberfest celebration continues today and they are featuring Oakshire Brewing in from 5 to 7pm pouring some of their beers, including Blackberry Sunmade, Hefe, Czech Pils, and German Pilsner. Also: “How well do you know Oakshire’s beers? Test your senses at the blind taste off at our outdoor patio bar!”
