Here’s the news in Oregon beer for this weekend of June 16-18. I’ll be out and about much of the weekend so won’t be too much of a chance to keep this post updated, but if you have news to share, please feel free to contact me regardless.

Saturday:

Sunday:

Friday, 6/16

McMenamins Bagdad Theater (Portland) has their Feature Before the Film beer tasting from 5 to 8pm, featuring Orange You Glad I Didn’t Say Cream Ale from the Edgefield: “This beer is our take on a classic summer treat: the orange creamsicle. This beer was designed specifically for the Nitro tap and it pours a light gold color with a prolific, creamy white head. Aromas of biscuit, orange zest, and vanilla abound. We used milk sugar in the boil, which is unfermentable and leaves behind a full mouthfeel along with some sweetness. We hopped this beer minimally, to showcase the creamsicle flavor.”

McMenamins 23rd Avenue Bottle Shop has the Lord of Misrule 2016 & 2017 Prince of Fools Tapping from 6 to 8pm: “We have one of the last three kegs of the Lord of Misrule and we’ll tap it at this time, along with the Prince of Fools Breakfast Stout — the base beer we’re barrel-aging at Edgefield Brewery to make the next Lord of Misrule. Come on by; these won’t last long.”

The Bier Stein is hosting Bend’s Atlas Cider for the release of their new Pineapple Mango Cider from 5 to 8pm.

Saturday, 6/17

GoodLife Brewing (Bend) is celebrating their 6th anniversary on Saturday! “We wouldn’t be here without your support so we’d be honored if you can join us in celebrating GoodLife Brewing’s 6th Anniversary! There will be live music, food carts, lawn games, and other shenanigans starting at 2pm. Live music starts around 5pm!” Make sure to be there, if you can!

Bend Brewing Company is officially opening up their new patio and beer garden on Saturday! The Grand Reopening party runs from 4 to 10pm and also features a new beer release: “BBC is throwing a huge bash for the grand reopening of the new patio & outdoor area PLUS releasing the new Summer beer Trail Love Pale Ale!! We’re partnering with Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) and $1 from each Trail Love pint will be donated. Live music by Bony Chanterelle, Scribbled Rhymes and Juniper & Gin.
