Oregon Beer, Wolves & People BreweryHappy Monday! I hope you had a nice holiday and recovered from the slew of beers weeks that just wrapped up, because there’s more news (there always is!) in Oregon beer to follow. Here it is for this week of June 18; as usual I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day so check back in from time to time.

Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery (Newberg) is celebrating its second anniversary this Saturday with the bottle release of Felicitation. From the press release: “Two years in, Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery will host their annual ‘Felicitation’ birthday bottle release featuring their own beers and other acclaimed ales from around the U.S. on Saturday, June, 23rd. The celebration will toast the brewery’s big second year, which included new highly-rated beers, a system expansion, national accolades, and sales into several U.S. states. This year’s version of ‘Felicitation’ is an 100% oak-fermented and barrel-aged, Brett-kissed saison with a blend of local jostaberries and raspberries (500ml). Available in limited quantities, advance tickets are available to the bottle release day and to reserve one bottle of Felicitation in advance.”

Crux Fermentation Project (Bend) celebrates its sixth anniversary this Saturday with its annual Cruxapalooza, despite the current patio construction going on: “We’re not going to let a little construction project prevent us from celebrating our anniversary and the community that supports us. So, we hope you’ll come down and join us for a day full of craft beer, food, and live music. Ural Thomas & the Pain is headlining our little hootenanny. Lance Canales & The Flood will be playing for us again and Bend’s own The Beautiful Train Wrecks and Soul’d Out will join Portland’s Mission Spotlight to round out the day’s line-up. Did we mention that there will be 30+ beers on tap plus some fun stuff for the kiddos?”

Worthy Brewing (Bend) posted today that its new Taps & Tacos location in downtown Bend will hold its grand opening on June 30. The location will feature “artfully crafted tacos” and eight taps of Worthy beer with a lineup of the brewery’s regulars mixed with specialties.

Side A Brewing (La Grande) has a beer back on tap at this eastern Oregon outpost: Guess what’s back on tap? Get the Oregon Fog at the pub or take it with you in a 32oz Side A Crowler!”

The beer weeks are over, but Oregon Cider Week starts up this Thursday, June 21! The week promises “a series of statewide events designed to educate and celebrate the region’s thriving artisan cider industry” and runs through July 1. I’ve already gotten some emails with upcoming cider happenings including:

More Cider Week events are listed here so start planning accordingly.
