Oregon BeerHappy Hump Day! Here’s the news in Oregon beer for Wednesday, the 8th of April. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day with the latest news, so check back often for updates. If you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that updated as well.

Brewvana Brewery Tours (Portland) is celebrating their 4th anniversary today with a party at Ecliptic Brewing from 6 to 9pm: “Join us for music, libations, dancing and merriment as we reflect on a CRAZY 4 years and look forward to the next year (and years!). We’ll have the tunes to make your booty bounce, the beer to make your taste buds smile AND a photo booth courtesy of J Forbish Photography to capture all the memories! Ecliptic Brewing will be pouring beer, $5 for the first and a BREWVANA 12 oz pilsner glass to take home, and $3 refills after that!” Congrats!

PFriem Family Brewers (Hood River) is bringing their bottle release party (the first of several) to Portland’s Belmont Station today from 5 to 8pm: “We are honored to be the first place the pFriem Family Brewers will be releasing their highly anticipated bottled beers outside their Hood River brewery. pFriem is set to launch 23 bottled varieties in 2015, including annual, seasonal, barrel-aged and limited varieties. The Classic Series will be offered in a capped, 500ml bottle, while the Select Line and Barrel-Aged beers will be packaged in corked and hooded 375 ml bottles. Please plan to join us, Josh, Annie and Matt for both a release party and a tasting of these long-awaited bottled offerings. Of course, it’s not a party without something on draft, so rest assured we will have something very special from pFriem pouring in the biercafe as well.”

Breakside Brewery (Portland) is holding the release party for their India Golden Ale at Imperial Bottleshop and Taproom today from 7 to 9pm: “Let’s be honest… spring seasonal beers just aren’t that exciting. Except of course for our favorite spring seasonal, Breakside Brewery popular “golden double IPA.” It’s returning for three months, and we’re started to celebrate the occasion in true golden, hoppy style! Stop by Imperial from 7-9 on Wednesday, April 8th to get a first try of IGA along a whole handful of their gold-medal-winning hoppy beers on draft.”

De Garde Brewing (Tillamook): Not only do they have a new foeder (barrel tank) to play with, they have two new beers releasing tomorrow: “The seasonal return of ‘Hose,’ our Gose fermented and aged in oak barrels, then dry hopped with Amarillo and Citra. $7/750ml bottle, no limit. And, ‘Saison Quatrieme, ‘ a wild/tart farmhouse ale, fermented and aged in oak wine barrels, then dry hopped with Mosaic and El Dorado hops. $12/750ml bottle, 12 bottle limit”

Boneyard Brewing (Bend): This Saturday the 11th Boneyard is teaming up with Beavertown Brewing (of London!) for a tap  takeover at Velvet in downtown Bend: “$3 Boneyard and Beavertown drafts all night! Beavertown Brewery will be visiting Bend to brew a collaboration beer with Boneyard. We love any excuse for a party so we decided on a tap takeover. Beavertown is an artisan microbrewery founded by Logan Plant in London, UK.” (Assuming this is a pre-CBC event.) It starts at 5pm.
