Oregon Beer, Laurelwood BrewingHere’s the Oregon beer news for this Tuesday, April 23, rounding up the news and events from around the state. As usual I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day, so check back often for the latest news. And if you have news or info to share, feel free to contact me and I can get that out there too.

Laurelwood Brewing (Portland) is putting some fruited IPAs on tap today to let drinkers vote on their favorites: “Our brewers have made four different fruited versions of the Rando IPA: Peach, Pomegranate, Boysenberry, and Mango. Tuesday 4/23, we will be tapping all four of these beers and offering them as a flight. We will then ask you to vote on your favorite! Available at both locations while supplies last!”

Tuesdays are Community Pints days at the Deschutes Brewery locations, where $1 from every pint sold goes to benefit a local non-profit organization. In Bend this month at the Public House and the Tasting Room, the brewery is benefiting Healthy Beginnings of Central Oregon. At the Portland Pub, April’s beneficiary is Store to Door of Multnomah County. Make sure to stop by and help out with a pint or three.

Oregon City Brewing has its Charity Pint Night at 5pm, benefiting the Oregon Food Bank Network: “Please join us to support the Oregon Food Bank Network. Mission: To eliminate hunger and its root causes… because no one should be hungry. Today, Oregon Food Bank collects food from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, individuals and government sources. We distribute that food through a Statewide Network of 21 Regional Food Banks and approximately 1,200 food assistance sites serving all of Oregon and Clark County, Washington.” $1 from every pint sold after 5pm will benefit the Network.

McMenamins has a number of Friends & Family Night fundraisers today, where 50% of the night’s sales after 5pm go to benefit a local organization, which is an incredible way to raise a bunch of money in one night. Here are the locations with F&F nights:

Oakshire Brewing (Eugene): The brewery’s Tuesday beer release is something special: “We are getting too excited for Hellshire Day 2019, so to remind you of the magic ✨ we have decided to bring out a single keg of HellshireVIII for tonight’s #TuesdayBeerRelease! Coffee, cinnamon, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and dried peppers abound.”

2 Towns Ciderhouse (Corvallis) is releasing its latest limited release cider, Camp Clementine. From the press release: “Crafted with Northwest Apples, California clementines and Maracuyá passionfruit, this cider is ready to awaken your taste buds to the delight of summer. At 5.5% ABV, this is a true summer session cider (try saying that 3 times fast). ‘I haven’t felt this level of anticipation about a cider in a while…this is more exciting than going to summer camp!’ stated Dave Takush, 2 Towns co-Founder and Head Cidermaker. ‘The California clementines are outrageously floral and juicy… and the passion fruit adds a wonderful tropical kiss. This is going to be one to remember!'”
