Oregon Beer, Crux Fermentation ProjectIt’s Thursday and (here in Bend at least) it’s going to be the nicest day of the year so far at sunny and 77 degrees! Here’s the news in Oregon beer to accompany the warm weather, which I’ll be updating throughout the day—so check back often for the latest.

Crux Fermentation Project (Bend) is releasing its second [BANISHED] series beer of the year today, In The Pocket, with a release and tasting event starting at 6pm: “In The Pocket is a rustic imperial saison aged in NW red wine barrels brewed with brettanomyces, lambicus & bruxellensis. Wondering what the inspiration behind this beer is and why it’s so misunderstood? Come to our exclusive tasting experience to find out first hand from one of our brewers. First, our brewer will give you a quick tour, showing you where and how the magic happens. Next, we’ll gather around the table, where you’ll receive a vertical “In the Pocket” tasting flight. (3 – 5oz pours) Our brewer will walk you through the tasting experience while you take notes on the differences you find between the ’19, ’18 and ’17 variations. Enjoy our chef’s complimentary small bite pairings.” Cost is $20 and you can purchase on the page.
