De Garde Brewing (Tillamook) has a new beer dropping today at their taproom: “The Oximandias – This is a spontaneously fermented beer, born from a grist of Northwest malted barley and unmalted wheat. It was boiled for three hours with four year aged Northwest grown hops, then laid into our coolship for natural cooling and inoculation with our native yeast and bacteria. Fermentation began in Sherry puncheon barrel where it further aged into its third year. We have less than four hundred bottles available for sale, and as such will be limiting sales to 1 bottle per person, at a price of $18 per bottle. We have set aside some of the bottles to explore and share in future years in our taproom for those that cannot make it here before the beer is gone.”
