Oregon BeerHere’s the beer news in Oregon for Tuesday, February 7th. As usual, I’ll be updating this post throughout the day so if you have some news you’d like to share, please contact me and I can get it updated.

If you were planning to attend the Ninkasi Brewer’s Dinner for the Civil Liberties Defense Center at The Granary in Eugene tonight, be aware that it has been postponed; no word on why the event had to be postponed but if you’d like to know when they event will be rescheduled you can contact CLDC directly.

Planning has begun for this year’s Corvallis Beer Week, and this year the CBW takes place from September 10th through the 16th (Monday through Sunday). Mark your calendars and plan accordingly!

McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House (Portland): “Did you know that tomorrow Wednesday February 8th is our McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House 28th birthday? The first brewpub in the state and our third pub is dear to our hearts as it is the birthplace of all our signature beers. We will wait to really celebrate at the 19th Annual Hillsdale Brewfest on February 25th but swing on by tomorrow and sample a taste of our Mojo’s Mocha Porter the Hillsdale selection for this year’s brewfest, available all day long.” (via Facebook)

Solera Brewery (Parkdale): This Saturday, the 11th, from 6 to 9pm this brand-new brewery will be celebrating their debut release party at the Volcanic Bottle Shoppe in Hood River, where they’ll be pouring their IPA and Parkdale Red, and you’ll be able to meet owners Jason Kahler and John Hitt. Be among the first to try the beers from one of Oregon’s newest breweries!

Falling Sky Brewing (Eugene): Today is their official grand opening (based on yesterday’s Facebook post), though they’re not quite brewing their own beer yet. But they are now open at 4pm, and today you can “come on by for a free limited edition LET IT POUR bumper sticker” to celebrate.

Rogue Ales (Newport) is hosting Fred Eckhardt’s annual Valentine’s Day Beer and Chocolate Tasting at their Rogue Public House in Portland coming up on February 14—one week from today! This is the epic, quintessential Eckhardt event, featuring 10 courses of chocolate and beer sample pairings that you won’t soon forget.
