The KLCC program director and recent recipient of the Leo C. Lee award for commitment to public radio journalism also happens to be a homebrewer! Last year he took a trip to San Francisco and brewed “Tripp’s Hop Adventure,” at 21st Amendment Brewery; we tapped a keg here shortly after opening our new location. Well folks, he’s done it again, and the event will kick off our week of events leading up to the [most excellent] KLCC Microbrew Fest & Homebrew Competition.”

Worthy Brewing (Bend) is kicking off their first anniversary week today with a special tapping and toast of GTX, their Go Time Pale Ale, at 5pm: “Going Back to What Brung Us. A Worthy Toast to Year One with the tapping of our inaugural brew, the Go Time Pale (GTX). Cheap pints of GTX. And a happy birthday to our loopy Founder, the Bull Goose Looney.”

And speaking of anniversaries, today is Bend’s Broken Top Bottle Shop‘s second! Today they are offering up “Super-Secret Special Deals” to celebrate. Wanna know what they are? You have to stop by!

Stickmen Brewery & Skewery (Lake Oswego) has a new beer released today: “One Rye Bitch. 4 different types of rye malt come together with Simcoe hops and over 3 months of barrel-ageing to create this American Barleywine. A good mix of hop bitterness, residual sweetness and oak make this a balanced and approachable example of the style. 11.6% | 126 IBU’s”
