Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider (Portland) on Saturday will be the location for an All-Portland Top 10 IPA Taste-Off in conjunction with Willamette Week: “Willamette Week (article: http://bit.ly/2CBZqQq) has again built their bi-annual “Every IPA in Portland Ranked” project on the backs of Portland beer lovers. From the article: “10 IPAs rose to the top last week when a blind panel of eight beer nerds, beer-bar owners, beer industry experts and one cider maker picked the top 10 IPAs made in Portland. Now you get to decide the top winner!” It’s a simple proposition:
– Kegs will be tapped at 1:00pm. (Come in for a cider ahead of time?) Ballots are distributed until the 1st keg blows, then voting will finish up with all outstanding ballots. I only bought sixths barrels, so this won’t last into the late evening.
– 10 tickets to get you all 10 beers are only $20. Individual (extra) tickets are $3. No full glass pours.
– Delicious IPAs are served in 4oz taster glasses for 1 ticket.
– The results will be revealed in the February 28 issue of WW.”
