Oregon BeerTGIF and happy Friday! Here’s the beer news from around Oregon to hoist a beer to for January 10th. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day, so check back often. And if you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that posted as well.

Upright Brewing (Portland) is celebrating the third annual release of their Fantasia today, starting at 4:30pm: “a lambic-style barrel-fermented Peach sour beer in 750ml photos. We think this is the best year yet! Bottles go on sale when the tasting room opens at 430pm with a 3 bottle per person limit at $20 per bottle.” Fantasia is one of their most anticipated beers and is fairly limited; if you plan to buy bottles today, make sure you have cash as they do not take cards at the tasting room.

The festival will take place in our brewery where you’ll be able to enjoy your beers, chat with the brewers, and enjoy food for purchase from Cheesy Stuffed Burgers and Creperie du Lys. Entry is $15. You’ll receive a souvenir pint glass and tasting tickets. Additional tickets will be available for purchase as well. 21+ only, please.” The breweries participating include: “2 Towns Ciderhouse, 4 Spirtis Distillery, Agrarian Ales, Block 15, Deluxe Brewing, Flat Tail, Heater Allen, McMenamins, Nectar Creek, Sky High, and of course Mazama Brewing.” If you’re in the Valley, don’t miss out!
