FYI, the detail on the sign reads, "Boil: Sterilizes the wort, extract bittering compounds from the hops. This red ale will be boiled for 3 hours to intensify the color and generate some caramelization."

I didn’t get the name of the beer at first… "Whoop Pass"… say it out loud. Now, why they don’t just name this "Whoop Ass" right out (it’s good enough for Arrogant Bastard…) I don’t know.

  1. I scanned these to see if you’d caught me in any of them; you didn’t. Anonymity preserved. Nice pics–I especially like the Flying Fish series.

    (I ended up the day with a cigar, too, and as always, regretted it the next day. A maduro.)
