Out with March, in with April

Some quick notes to kick off this week.

I’ll start up the Oregon Beer News posts again on Wednesday (April 1)… still catching up from spring break! We spent the past week in Florida visiting family and Universal Studios and I picked up a cold so I’m still getting my feet under me, so to speak. Not much beer was consumed in Florida—some Yuengling, and some Cigar City Brewing Invasion Pale Ale were the highlights.

The Session is coming up this Friday, the 3rd of April, and this month’s host is Microbrewr with the question, Cans or Bottles? Something I’ve written more than a few words about already.

The Craft Brewers Conference is a mere two weeks away as well, taking place in Portland, Oregon this year. We’ll be there, and writing about it! There are more events lined up (and still being added) than any one person can even follow, and many are ticketed events—meaning, if you’re interested in getting in, buy your tickets for them now! The CBC website has a list of the week’s events you’ll want to check out—these aren’t the CBC sessions and seminars, but all of the other events taking place around Portland (i.e., where the magic happens).

And April Fools comes early? Brewpublic reports that Bailey’s Taproom will be hosting an interesting beer night at their Upper Lip on Wednesday, the 1st:

Get ready to be all fussy and into your beer when The Upper Lip hosts Anheuser Busch-InBev Night on Wednesday, April 1. Yes on April Fools’ Day, The Upper Lip will proudly feature an Anheuser Busch-InBev focused lineup of beers.

To celebrate these purchases of some of our most beloved craft breweries and the ownership’s appreciation of them, The Upper Lip is proud to host its first Anheuser Busch-InBev Night on April Fools’ Day. This Bud’s for you!

The taplist that that The Upper Lip has gathered for April Fools’ Day will be one for all to enjoy.
