Kriekfest rescheduled amid heat concerns

Kriekfest 2018

Kriekfest was slated to take place in Hood River this weekend, but due to concerns over the projected temperatures on Saturday rising into dangerous levels (especially being outdoors all day), it has been put on hold pending rescheduling. Here is the announcement:

Short version: The welfare and safety of our attendees is our top priority and it is with that in mind with the extreme heat advisory slated for the week of and including the date for the 3rd annual Kreik fest that we have decided to postpone the event. We will let you know when the new dates are ASAP and we will honor all tickets purchased.

The longer version: The extreme heat advisory issued for Hood River through next weekend is for some dangerously hot weather and after much consideration means postponing the 3rd annual Kriekfest to a date to be determined.

As we have dreadfully watched the forecast for Saturday’s temps in Hood River climb from the 90s up to its current 104-degrees, the safety of our Kriekfest fans is our primary concern. We have ceased current ticket sales and are searching for a date to reschedule it on, we will honor those who have purchased tickets or provide refunds once the new dates are announced if any are unable to attend.

This year’s kriek line-up is way too good to miss, we will select a date and let you all know ASAP and hope to see you all there under better conditions. Please stay cool and hydrated this week and know that we are working to bring you the best Kriekfest that we can.

It’s regrettable but the right decision. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates.
