Tonight at the Bend Pub Deschutes is celebrating the release of the 2011 Jubelale: the first keg of this year’s Jubelale will be tapped at 5pm and the celebration lasts until 9pm. A special Jubelale-featured menu will be available and of course the artists of this year’s label will be on-hand to sign posters featuring the artwork.
GoodLife Brewing, in the meantime, has just released their new Descender IPA (the third in their growing line-up of beers) and are featuring release parties tonight and tomorrow, both from 5 to 8pm: tonight (Tuesday) at The Summit Saloon in downtown Bend, and tomorrow (Wednesday) at Brother Jon’s on the westside.
I’ve had tastes of both: this year’s Jubelale at the Beer Bloggers Conference, and this past Saturday we had lunch at GoodLife and I had a couple of pints of the new IPA. Both are good; Jubelale is, well, Jubelale (one of the best Winter Warmers out there) and the IPA (while I don’t have the stats on it) is bracing, crisp, and hoppy.
