AC Golden Brewing’s 2017 Beer Lineup

Colorado Native Imperial Porter

I’ve run several Oregon craft brewery beer schedules recently, and the other day AC Golden Brewing Company (the subsidiary of Coors, who brews their Colorado Native line of beers) sent out their 2017 beer lineup in a press release. Yes, I’m posting this just like I’ve done the others. I would definitely try these beers.

No fancy calendar chart, but here is the press release, with beers highlighted in bold by me:

AC Golden Brewing Company has announced an exciting line-up of beers for 2017, brewed with 100 percent Colorado ingredients, making them Colorado’s homegrown beers.

In January, Colorado Native Imperial Porter rolls out to warm up those long winter nights. Partially aged in Laws Whiskey barrels, this beer offers notes of rich chocolate, coffee, vanilla and roasted malt. ABV is 9.5% and IBU is 60.

Around April, Colorado Native Saison ushers in thoughts of summer in Colorado. Crisp and refreshing, with notes of citrus fruits, bubble gum, and circus peanut, this beer features a proprietary blend of funky yeast from Woodland Park. ABV is 5.4% and IBU is 20.

To celebrate the harvest season, and pay homage to the state’s farmers, AC Golden rolls out Colorado Native Olathe Lager this summer. Brewed with ingredients that are all grown within a mile of each other, Olathe Lager features the state’s famous Olathe Sweet sweet corn. ABV is 5.6% and IBU is 25.

In time for the fall and winter holidays, Colorado Native Winterfest rolls out in October. Perfect for all winter celebrations, Winterfest is brewed with Moravian two-row pale, chocolate and Munich malts, along with Centennial and Nugget hops. ABV is 7.0% and IBU is 24.

In addition, AC Golden will release four beers from its Colorado Native Barrel-Aged Sours collection. All four were brewed and aged with all Colorado ingredients, including apricots, peaches, and Duarte plums from Palisade, and Montmorency sour and Bing sweet cherries from an orchard on the Western Slope. All four sours were barrel-aged for a year in wine or whiskey barrels to create a complexity of flavor.

Colorado Native Apricot will be released in the first quarter of the year, followed by Colorado Native Kriek in the second quarter, and Colorado Native Peche and Colorado Native Plum in the third and fourth quarters respectively.

All these special releases join the Colorado Native beers offered year-round: Amber Lager, Golden Lager, IPL, and Pilsner.

AC Golden Brewing Company is located in Golden, Colo. It brews all of its beers with 100 percent Colorado ingredients, making them the natural choice for beer drinkers who want to stay local with their choices.
