This weekend is a good one for Bend brewery anniversaries, as three of our locals are celebrating a collective 31 years in business. The first-ever Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is coming up next weekend, on Saturday, June 21st, taking place in La Grande at the Union County Fairgrounds. The latest seasonal offering from Portland Brewing came for me today from the brewery: Oregon Honey Beer. This is a beer that had been out of rotation for awhile (I believe since 2009); it’s 4.8% abv and brewed with 2-row malt and Oregon honey. Being their summer seasonal, it will be on the shelves only through August.
