A package came today from Deschutes Brewery, containing their two newest beers in their Bond Street and Reserve Series, respectively:

Their Red Chair IPA, and Mirror Mirror Barleywine. Both of these are beers I’m excited about; the Red Chair because I’ve sampled it already and it’s quite good (brewed to commemorate Mt. Bachelor’s 50th anniversary), and Mirror Mirror because it’s the first time they’ve brewed this since it first appeared in 2006 (kicking off the Reserve Series line).

Interestingly, of the Mirror Mirror they say it’s best consumed after April 2010. So despite receiving this PR bottle, I think I’ll take their advice and cellar it.

Not that I won’t get a chance to review it, though: according to Twitter, the release party for both of these beers is this Wednesday, the 29th, starting at 5pm. (At both pubs.) I shall make efforts to be there.
